Entry into force notes: This Law enters into force on the eighth day from the day of its publication in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia" except for certain provisions specified in article 90 which shall enter into force on 1 January 2009.

Résumé: This Law governs all aspects of production, circulation, control and consumption of food, general conditions for ensuring safety of food and feed, rights and responsibilities of persons performing food and feed businesses, early warning systems, and hygiene and quality of food and feed. The Law shall not apply to primary food production and preparation, handling and storage of food for private domestic use.
