Abstract: The Water Law of 1959 (157 articles) creates a framework for the control and protection of Israel's water resources. It establishes the powers and functions of the Water Commissioner, the Tribunal for Water Affairs, the Water Board, and the Minister of Agriculture. It also sets out the legal regime for water rights and the supply of water for various uses. This Law deals with the regulation water use (Chap. 2), water supply systems (Chap. 3), water charges (Chap.4) and the organization (Chap. 5)
