Abstract

These Regulations prohibit aerial spraying of biological and/or chemical substances for agricultural purposes near a water source, including Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), the open sections of the National Water Carrier, the Upper Jordan River and its tributaries, streams in the Kinneret drainage basin and other water sources used for drinking water. The Regulations set limits on aerial spraying according to wind velocity and wind direction. Spraying from an airplane within 300 meters of a water source, or within 200 meters of some specified rivers or within 50 meters of any other river is prohibited.
