The Act contains preliminary provisions (Part I), provisions on appointment of officers and establishment of Water Advisory Boards (Part II), ownership of and inherent rights to the use of water (Part III), grant of water rights (Part IV), revision, variation, determination and dimunition of water rights (Part V), miscellaneous powers (Part VI), appeals (Part VII), offences (Part VIII) and miscellaneous provisions (Part IX).
