The objects of the Association include: (a) to operate water rights issued under the Water Utilization (Control and Regulation) Act 1974 and to ensure continuous supply of water to members; (b) to operate and maintain effluent treatment systems; (c) operate and improve waterworks. The Regulations also specify rights and duties of specified members who use water for industrial purposes and discharge effluent water from their plants.
