Abstract

The amendments establish a pollution control system based on discharge consents. The Central Water Advisory Board and the Regional Water Advisory Board are replaced by the Central Water Board and the Basin Water Board, and their duties are extended to include pollution control functions. The Schedules contain temporary water quality standards for receiving waters. (13 sections and 2 Schedules)
