The Act also prohibits the misuse, waste or pollution of water and grants powers to the Authority to supply water for towns for which it is declared to be the Water Authority, to construct and operate waterworks, to enter into agreements as to drainage of land, to prevent obstruction and waste of water and to issue rules relating to hygiene of water.
