Abstract

This Act defines regulation-making powers of the Minister for the time being responsible for veterinary services in respect of: the licensing, control and regulation of slaughterhouses and of premises where meat is processed in any manner for human consumption; health, sanitary and hygiene standards in slaughterhouses and meat processing premises; packing and labelling of meat; storage and transport of meat; the licensing and control of imports and exports of meat; and other matters relative to the manufacture, processing and marketing of meat and listed in this Act.
