Abstract

For the purposes of this Act, the health or environmental risks of a pest control product are acceptable if there is reasonable certainty that no harm to human health, future generations or the environment will result from exposure to or use of the product, taking into account its conditions or proposed conditions of registration. The text – consisting of 81 sections –deals, inter alia, with the following matters: Advisory Council; prohibitions; registration of pest control products; export controls; reconsideration of decisions; authorization to use unregistered product; access to information; enforcement; delivery of documents; fees, charges and costs; limitation on liability; compensation for use of information; offences and punishment and coming into force.
