Abstract The present Regulations are made under the Pest Control Products Act. Under this Ac, pesticides must be registered by the Minister of Health before they can be used in Canada. A pesticide may not be registered or may not continue to be registered unless its health and environmental risks and its value have been determined to be acceptable by the Minister. In particular, the Regulations establish that under section 13 of the afore-mentioned Act, registrants, a company in whose name a pesticide is registered, and applicants for the registration of a pesticide, are required to report incidents about their pesticides.
