Abstract

The Decree concerns the approval of the methods for the analysis of milk and heat-treated milk for human consumption. The procedure to be applied to fresh milk regards the following: (a) determination of the freezing point; (b) count of microorganisms; (c) count of somatic cells; (d) assessment of antibiotics and sulfamides. As far as heat-treated milk is concerned, the Decree establishes the application of procedures regarding, inter alia, the determination of the freezing point, the count of microorganisms and coliforms, the assessment of antibiotics and sulfamides, the assessment of pathogenic agents. The procedure for the analysis of UHT milk and pasteurized milk concerns the determination of the freezing point, the count of microorganisms and the assessment of antibiotics and sulfamides.
