The Ordinance defines at the outset its scope of application; article 2 contains a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as "milk", "raw milk", "milk products", "production plants", etc. Then the Ordinance treats issues such as production and treatment of raw milk, production and treatment of milk treated with heat, additional requirements for processing homogenised milk, requirements for disinfectant products. Import of milk and milk products from third countries is also dealt with. Finally, the Ordinance sets out penalties in case of violation. The Ordinance consists of 30 articles.
