Only inspected meat may be processed. The general requirements for meat processing plants are contained in Annex A; Annex B establishes special provisions for meat products. A strict veterinary control is prescribed; the wrapping and packing is also laid down in details. For example, wrapping material cannot be reused and packing has to be carried out in the production room.
