Abstract

This Decree-Law No. 38/2000 approves EC Commission Directive 98/86 on purity criteria on food additives other than colours and sweeteners. It consists of 3 articles and 1 annex establishing the requirements to be satisfied by food additives such as: emulsifying agents, stabilizers, thickening agents, gelling agents, etc. to be used for human consumption. Standards are specified in the annex.
