This Directive entered into force on 20 June 2001.
Abstract

In the Annex to Directive 96/77/EC, the text of the Annex to this Directive shall be added. Purity criteria for certain food additives (E 170 (i) calcium carbonate, E 353 metatartaric acid, E 354 calcium tartrate, etc.) are set forth therein.
