Abstract

The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Health and Women introduces the Commission Directive 2000/36/EG of 3 August 2000 on cocoa and chocolate products into Austrian national legislation. It prescribes quality requirements for the production and marketing of different kinds of cocoa and chocolate products as defined at the outset. The following articles deal with addition of vegetable fats, and other substances, such as aromas, ascertainment of legal percentage of cocao, marking regulations, packaging and final dispositions. The text consists of 15 articles.
