The Regional Act came into force on 20 May 1998.
Résumé

This Regional Act makes provision with respect to dairy farming and matters connected therewith, in compliance with Presidential Decree No. 54 of 14 January 1997. The Act is divided into four Parts. Parts II defines the conditions under which the establishments intended for the processing and transformation of milk may be recognized, upon hygienic controls and inspections to be carried out by the competent local health authorities (art. 5). Part III regulates the registration of enterprises engaged in the production of milk and dairy products. Water destined to human consumption or used in the transformation of milk must meet the requirements established by the Annexes to Presidential Decree No. 236 of 24 May 1988.
