This Order implements EEC Council Directive on health and animal health problems affecting intra-Community trade in heat-treated milk and EEC Commission Directive 89/362 on general conditions of hygiene on milk production holdings. "Heat-treated milk" includes concentrated, pasteurised milk. Heat-treated milk other than heat-treated milk specified in Article 3 of the Council Directive No. 85/397/EEC shall not be imported into the State from another Member State. Heat-treated milk shall not be exported from the State to another Member State unless it meets requirements laid down in regulation 3. The Minister shall establish and maintain a register of approved milk treatment establishments, approved milk collection centres, approved milk standardization centres and approved production holdings.
