Résumé

These Regulations provide for the control on the movement of certain pet animals within the EU and from third countries by introducing a system for the identification of pets in accordance with Regulation No. 998/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council (as amended various times). Movement of pet animals between member states to Ireland requires a pet passport in accordance with the Regulation. Importation of pets from Third Countries shall be subject to requirements regarding electronic identification, vaccination and certification or passport. Pets shall also be treated against diseases as prescribed. These Regulations also introduce requirements of approved transporters and approved entry points. Authorised officers may issue compliance notices and apply other enforcement measures.
