Movement of pet animals between member states to Ireland requires a pet passport in accordance with the Regulation. Importation of pets from Third Countries shall be subject to requirements regarding electronic identification, vaccination and certification or passport. Pets shall also be treated against diseases as prescribed. These Regulations also introduce requirements of approved transporters and approved entry points. Authorised officers may issue compliance notices and apply other enforcement measures.
