The Regulations also amend the way import is defined in the principal Regulations, make it an offence to contravene specified requirements of the Commission Regulation, specify the competent authorities and designate enforcement authorities for the purposes of certain provisions of Commission Regulation and provide that certain provisions of the Food Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 apply for the purposes of the enforcement of the Commission Regulation.
