They also prohibit certain claims in relation to food (reg. 6). Regulation 2 prescribes that these Regulations shall apply to all foods which are sold or manufactured for sale in Zimbabwe and that no person shall sell, import or manufacture for sale any food other than in terms of these Regulations. Other regulations state exemptions (reg. 7), define offences and prescribe penalties (reg. 8). The five Schedules define further labelling standards and exemptions.
