No person shall place on the market materials and articles made of regenerated cellulose film unless they are accompanied by written declaration attesting that they comply with the provisions laid down by article 6 (5) of Council Directive No. 89/109/EEC. This does not apply to regenerated cellulose film which, by its nature, is clearly intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. A person shall not engage in trade in or in use of regenerated cellulose film which does not conform to Council Directive No. 83/229/EEC.
