Abstract

These Rules, made under section 40 of Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority Act, govern the procedure related to the settlement of consumer complaints received by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) in relation to the regulated sectors and for other related matters. A complaint may be filed with the Authority against a regulated supplier in respect of any matter connected with the regulated services by completing and filing the complaint form prescribed in the Third Schedule. A complaint may also be lodged by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority Consumer Consultative Council. The Rules set out the procedure for the handling of complaints by EWURA and provide for appeal with the Fair Competition Tribunal established under the Fair Competition Act.
