Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the management of water resources. The Act shall apply to the following bodies of water: water permanently or temporarily flowing or standing in beds or flowing quickly from springs (surface waters); the sea between the shore line at mean high tide for the seaward limitation of surface waters and the seaward limitation of the sea at the coast (coastal waters); and the groundwater. The text consists of 106 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Management of water (2); Special water resources provisions (3); Compensation (4); Survey of waters (5); Penalties and transitional provisions (6). Two Annexes are enclosed.
