Abstract The present Law lays down provisions relating to waste management in the Land of Tyrol. It is applicable to all waste except to hazardous waste. Article 4 establishes that waste shall be prevented and reduced as far as possible. The cost of recycling waste shall not be excessive; and a market for the new substances should be available or should be created. Solid waste shall be stored in an orderly manner.
