Abstract This Notification sets forth the rules and procedures of and determines the standards for, hygienic and technically appropriate production, processing, conservation, transport, storage and marketing of eggs. The Notification covers eggs produced by Gallus gallus var. domesticus. The incubated eggs, cooked eggs and eggs produced by other poultry are out of the coverage of the provisions of this Notification. The Notification further sets forth the product features of eggs and covers provisions related to food additives, pesticide residues, and veterinary drug residues as well as providing for the rules and procedures of sampling and analysis methods.
