The Law defines the following relevant terms: competent authority; establishment; Union Regulations; inspector; register; producer; slaughterhouse. Matters covered by this Law include: classification and labelling of poultry meat and exceptions; prohibition from receiving and possessing poultry meat not classified and marked, for the purpose of sale; powers of the competent Authority; application for registration of slaughterhouses and producers in the register; appointment and powers of inspectors; corrective actions to restore compliance with this Law and its provisions; imposition of administrative fines; offences and penalties; issuance of regulations.
