Abstract These Regulations apply to aromas which are used as added substances in food and for the ingredients of which aromas are made (sect. 1). It provides rules relative to the quality (sect. 3), use (sects. 4 and 5), packing and labelling (sects. 6 and 8), and sale (sect. 7) of aromas and its ingredients. The Attachment contains certain standards with respect to contents of specified substances. Further rules with respect to the quality, limitation of use, and other matters may be issued by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Section 2 contains definitions.
