Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 4, which shall enter into force upon the adoption of list of approved food additives in the European Union.
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the conditions for the use of food enzymes in food, including such enzymes used as aids in the production of food, to ensure consistent action on the food market with a simultaneous high level of effective protection of human health, a high level of consumer protection as well as their interests, and including fair practices in food trade, and if necessary, environmental protection.
