Abstract

This Order, for purposes of preventing the spreading of rabies in Guernsey, provides rules for the importation and exportation of animals. Importation of animals listed in Schedule 1 is prohibited except under a licence of the States Commerce and Employment Department. The Order also establishes the powers available to the Department to deal with an outbreak or suspected outbreak of rabies in the Islands. The Order provides for quarantine of imported animals.
