Abstract

This Law, for purposes of preventing the spreading of rabies in Guernsey, grants legislative and executive powers to prescribed authorities and provides for the declaration of areas infected with rabies. The authorities may, among other things, provide for the destruction of wild animals in an infected area. Other powers concern, among other things, vaccination, quarantine, notification and the seizure and detention and the disposal or destruction of any animal.
