Abstract

These Regulations prescribe rules relative to the slaughtering of poultry and the processing and placing on the market of meat. The Regulations make provision, among other things, for: registration of abattoirs, hygiene management and evaluation systems, humane treatment of birds in the slaughter process, handling and storage of carcasses and meat, inspection and marking of meat and treatment of condemned meat.
