This Order enters into force on the day after its publication.

Abstract

This Order approves the Regulation of the Support Regime for Fisheries and Aquaculture Products Processing. This Regulation, consisting of 22 articles and four Annexes, establishes the Support Regime in the context of the Operational Programme (OP) Mar 2020, for Continental Portugal. The support provided is intended to strengthen the competitiveness of integrated fisheries and aquaculture products, in particular by promoting energy efficiency, fostering innovation and enhancing the value of products and improving production processes. These support are destined to operations relating to investments in the field of processing aiming to: a) contribute to energy saving or reduce the impact on the environment, including residues treatment; b) improve safety, hygiene, health and working conditions; c) support the processing of fish which cannot be used for human consumption; d) process by-products resulting from the main processing activities; e) process organic aquaculture products pursuant to arts. 6 and 7 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 of 28 June 2007; f) start new or improved products, processes or management and organization systems.
