This Decree-Law enters into force on the day after its publication.

Abstract

This Decree-Law, consisting of 8 Titles, implements for the National territory the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF), the Cohesion Fund (CF), the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), the European Fund for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) and their Operational Programs (OPs) and Rural Development Programmes (RDP) and the organizational structure for the year, namely, skills support, monitoring and evaluation, certification, audit and control, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013. It specifies the Operational structure of the European structural funds and investment. The operating funds for cohesion policy are structured as follows: Four thematic OPs: Competitiveness and internationalization; Employment and Social Inclusion; Human Capital; Sustainability and Resource Use Efficiency; Five regional OPs on the continent, corresponding the territory of each NUTS II: North; Center; Lisbon; Alentejo; Algarve; Two regional OPs in the Azores and Madeira, according to the priorities set by respective regional governments; a PO technical assistance.
