Abstract This Decree approves the Decision by the Supreme Council of Chemistry by which article 69 of the Food Code, concerning the specific criteria of purity concerning sweeteners for use in foodstuffs is amended by replacing in the Annex to article 69, the provisions regarding the sweeteners E 421 (Mannitol) and E 950 (Acesulfame K). This amendment is done in compliance with Commission Directive 2001/52/EC amending Directive 95/31/EC laying down specific criteria of purity concerning sweeteners for use in foodstuffs.
