Abstract

These Regulations give further effect to Commission Directive 98/53/EC2 laying down the sampling methods and the methods of analysis for the official control of the levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs, as amended. The principal effect of these Regulations is to provide for the methods of sampling, and for the sample preparation and methods of analysis for the official control of the levels of certain contaminants in foodstuffs in accordance with the methods described in the Annexes to the (amending) Directives.
