Abstract

The purpose of these Regulations is to give effect to Council Directive No. 80/777/EC on the approximation of the laws of Member States relating to the exploitation and marketing of natural mineral waters. These Regulations should therefore be read in conjunction with the Council Directive. A person shall not market or exploit water as natural mineral water unless such water complies with provisions of the Directive and these Regulations (reg. 3).
