Abstract

These Regulations make provision for an identification system for cattle in accordance with Community rules. Means of identification shall include eartags and, for cattle to be exported to the EU, a cattle passport, i.e. a document issued by the Minister containing the information set out in article 6.1 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 2629/97. The Minister shall also be the competent authority that approvs eartags for the purposes of article 4.1 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1760/2000. Moving
