Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to safety measures, normalization and standardization in the field of electrical engineering. At the outset the Act contains a definition clause, for example, terms like “electrical equipment” and “electrical plant” are defined. Article 3 establishes that electrical equipment and electrical installation must be established, produced, maintained and run in such a way that they guarantee a safe functioning. Article 7 deals with evidence of compliance of safety requirements with the prescribed standards. The text consists of 22 articles.
