This Decree-Law, consisting of 7 Chapters, creates the legal regimes applicable to the production of electricity destined to self-consumption and to the sale to electric public network originating from renewable resources, through Small Production Units. It also establishes the legal regime applicable to the production of electricity sold to the electric utility grid (RESP), through installations of small power plants from renewable resources, so called Small Production Units (UPPs).
