Abstract

This Regulation amends certain provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 1622/2000 which establishes at Community level a code of oenological practices and processes. Hereinafter, the purity and identification specifications of substances used in oenological practices referred to in article 46 (2) (c) of Regulation (EC) No. 1493/1999 shall be those laid down in Directive 96/77/EC. Annex IV to Regulation (EC) No. 1622/2000, laying down restrictions on the use of certain substances, is replaced by the Annex hereto. Annex V establishing purity criteria is deleted. Annexes XII and XIII are supplemented as set out in article 1 (6) and (7) hereto.
