Abstract

These Regulations shall apply to aquaculture enterprises in order to control and monitor the eventual presence of residues of chemicals and other substances as per Schedule I, to establish and implement a national monitoring plan, collecting and analysing fish samples. Fish and their products must result clean from the abovementioned substances and the sale , trade or human consumption of adulterated fish shall not be permitted. Inspections shall be carried out in the facilities where fish is processed and even in the laboratories where samples are investigated. In case of adulteration, fish and derived products shall be marked and disposed of.The text includes four Schedules dealing with the list of substances, the sampling procedures, treatment, assessment and destruction.
