Abstract

Animal by-products are defined as carcases, parts of carcases or products of animal origin, which are not intended for human consumption, but the definition excludes catering waste and excreta. Animal by-products are divided into two categories: high risk and low risk. Part II of the Order requires that animal by-products as defined in Part I must be disposed of, without undue delay by specified methods.
