Abstract

The present Agreement covers the cooperation in Rhine shipping and port affairs between the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau and the joint implementation of federal legislation on navigation for the Rhine route between Basel and Rheinfelden. The text consists of 16 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Cooperation in Rhine shipping and port affairs (II); Joint enforcement of federal navigation legislation for the Rhine route between Basel and Rheinfelden (III); Compensation for services provided by the Canton Basel-Stadt (Basel Rhine Management) for the cantons Aargau and Basel-Landschaft (IV); Final provisions (V).
