Abstract This Act: (a) establishes the procedures for the placing on the market of fish products; (b) regulates the functioning of fish producers' organizations, unions of fish producers' organizations and inter-branch organizations; (c) provides financial support to the fisheries economy on the basis of European Union regulations. The Act is composed of six Sections: General provisions (sect. 1); Introduction of fishing products into the market (sect. 2); Organizations of fishing producers and inter-branch organizations (sect. 3); Financial support to the fisheries economy (sect. 4); Penal provisions (sect. 5); Transitional and final provisions (sect. 6).
