In particular, article 1 establishes that the river banks of the Rhine in Aargau up to the border with the Canton of Zurich are declared as a protected area and are subject to the conservation and utilization regulations, with the aim of preserving and promoting them. Article 3 provides on the zone classification and the text continues to provide for protection of the waterfowl, nature and landscape conservation zones, power plant protection, and forest.
