The objectives of these plans are: a) to carry out a permanent control on regional forests; b) to establish national forestry policy within regional context according to a sustainable development; c) to establish a connection with other territorial management instruments and landscape protection programme (combating desertification, water resources conservation, etc.); d) to define regional forestry legislations and to classify forestry areas according to their capacity and restrictions; e) to develope forestry sector and related resources,(ecosystem conservation, etc.).
