Abstract

This Resolution of Council of Ministers establishes regional forestry plans which must be drawn up within two years from the date of publication of the Official Gazette. The objectives of these plans are: a) to carry out a permanent control on regional forests; b) to establish national forestry policy within regional context according to a sustainable development; c) to establish a connection with other territorial management instruments and landscape protection programme (combating desertification, water resources conservation, etc.); d) to define regional forestry legislations and to classify forestry areas according to their capacity and restrictions; e) to develope forestry sector and related resources,(ecosystem conservation, etc.).
