Résumé This Regulation lays down protective measures to prevent the introduction and spread of, as well as, to eradicate Xylella fastidiosa. To this end, this Regulation sets forth provisions on detection or suspected presence of the specified organism, surveys of the specified organism, establishment of demarcated areas, prohibition concerning the planting of host plants in infected zones, eradication and containment measures, movement of specified plants, traceability and official checks on movements of specified plants and reporting on measures. Administrative sanctions specified in article 38 of Law No. 5996 shall apply in case of violation of the provisions of this Regulation. This Regulation is drafted in line with the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/789 of 18 May 2015 as regards measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of Xylella fastidiosa (Wells et al.)
